Native Americans danced for many reasons. Native Americans danced when they had a new baby, they danced on their birthday, and they danced for festivals and feasts. They believed they could reach the spirits from their dances. When they entered the dance floor, they had to enter from the east and leave from the east too. Most dances are in circles because it reminded them of family.
